i will jump in here and put up my scenario, because i hope to make it to the track next weekend. any tips will be appreciated.
ok, stock times were 13.79@101(i think) with a 2.26 60ft time(street tires)
mods now include:
headers and ORY, TSP rumber catback
air lid, smooth bellows, 85mm MAF
3.73 gears
this is in an unstalled a4 car, and im gonna run on slicks.
do i have a shot at hitting 12s? alot of the haters around here in angelo say that i cant. ???

2 words...........drag radials. If you get traction and get a 2.0 60' you have a good shot.I ran 13.3X@106.5 w/lid,catback and was doing that on a 2.1 w/street tires.Once I went headers/ORY/4.10's/nittos I dipped into the high 12's and thru getting used to the car ran 12.5-12.6@110 doing a "slip and dump" and netting 1.8 60's
