Default Do V6 Springs in the rear change ride height/quality??

Im thinking about putting some in on my car for drag racing purposes and was wondering how much it changed the ride of the car. If it makes it ALOT different then I wont do it but if its not really noticeable then I will. It will be a long long time before I could ever go to a straight up drag setup so I thought this might be a happy medium.

V6 springs aren't the answer.

You don't want softer springs in the back. The spring rate on the back of the 4th gen cars are adequate for drag racing. If you do anything to the back suspension, put a QA1 shock on w/ the stock spring. Personally, I'd do the fronts first.

FWIW, a softer spring in the back probably would lower the back end a bit.

Oh I could have sworn that softer springs in the rear would help "plant" the rear more as it would drop more when you launched.

Maybe. But 98 and up v6 rear springs are the same as the v8 rear springs... Only the fronts were different.

You don't want the rear to squat, you want the weight to transfer to the rear and plant the tires. The stiffer springs would apply the force down on to the tires better than softer springs.
