Slicks and Rim Size
I need a set of slicks for the LS1/RX7 I'm putting together. Right now I don't want to buy any drag wheels until I can save up the money for a nice set.
I have a set of used 26x10x15 Hoosier full slicks (not DOT slicks) sitting around.
I also have a set of 15x6.5 lightweight stock RX7 wheels (11#'s) or I can pick up a set of mustang 15x7 v6 wheels (14#'s) for fairly cheap.
Would that be too much to ask a 10" slick to fit on such a narrow rim? Would it still work alright even if it fit?

A 10" tire on a 7" wheel would bulge the sidewall pretty good. I ran a 10.5 ET Street and a 275/60-15 DR on a 7.5" Convo Pro before. The 10.5s fit perfect, the DR was a bit too much.
The good thing about the 7s is that Mustang wheels fit pretty easy. I'd look for a set of Draglites or something since every Fox-body made came w/ Welds and Flowmasters.
