What is the flat plastic box in front of the power antenna on an f bod?

Default What is the flat plastic box in front of the power antenna on an f bod?

Can I get rid of it? It looks important.

The only flat plastic box in front of the antenna that i can think of would be the amp for the monsoon system...if you get rid of that you get no sound from the speakers...

do you have any pics?? and how big is it?? There is also a small box that is a alarm shock sensor back there as well.

It's about 8-10 inches I'd say and it's kinda square. Sit's on it's side not flat.

I think you are talking about the Monsoon amp like CamaroCain said.

you can adjust the alarms sensitivity on it if i'm not mistaken

The shock sensor is only about 2x3" and has a **** and a light. I remember my Monsoon amp being silver with a small tag and a large-ish harness connecting all the speaker wire....but its been a while. Plus I have a 98 if that makes a difference (don't know if they are different between years).

Post a pic or a scale drawing and be done with it

It is the amp. You could ditch it but you would have to re-rought the speaker wires & thats a pain in the ***. Don't mess with it.
