Default Rear seat brace and harnesses

I'm running stock seats in my firebird. I'm installing a full cage and was told by a friend that I need to put a brace from the back of the seat to the cross bar behind the seat. Do I really need it? The rule book doesn't specify. I was also wondering what harnesses to get, cam lock or latch?

Cam lock is as easy to use as the factory.....I like mine ...fast to buckle/unbuckle........latch type takes a little more time.

Camlock all the way. I hate latches.

If you have race seats, you will need a brace from the back of the seat to the x-bar. There's no way I'd run w/o one.

no brace needed for factory seats and camlock is the ONLY way to go. that second or two could mean the difference between hanging upsidedown burning to death or getting out before your toast
