Default Who does NOT run an alternator?

About ready to ditch mine for weight and space. Will I need a 16V system to power all the sensors and what not? Drag only obviously.

We took the alternator off of one of our drag vipers, the car has much better response and rapped up very quickly. It was an N/A car and we went ahead and added another battery to the system, and we charge it inbetween runs.

I have thought about doing this, but i wasnt so sure with my car being a nitrous car and all.

Adding another battery pretty much defeats the purpose. I'm not sure how long one battery would run the PCMs and coil packs.

Not really if the battery is placed in the back.

take an alternator up to o'rielly's and have them put it on the tester, with it under full load, try and turn it. It DOES make a difference, our viper wrapped up much faster without it on there. and we got to take weight off of the front of the car and put it in the rear.
