Transgo told me the T350, 700R4 and 4L60E all had the same max torque limit. The biggest thing I have seen wrong with the 4L60E is guys rebuilding them that don't know how. If you drive this car everyday, I wouldn't think you would want to loose your overdrive. You might talk to Dana at Probuilt first. (530-642-9530) I still have the same exact 4L60E that came in my car in 1996. He didn't do mine, but I use some of his parts and specs. Sharp guy.
Good luck, Ed

I imagine stock per stock there wouldnt be that much difference in rated input levels. However, once you go after market, there is a world of difference. How many billet input shafts, drums, sprag etc are there for the COMPLETE internals of the 60E? Not enough apparently since so many ppl continue to blow them... I went through 2 60E's, one stock over 800 passes and the good majority on the bottle out of the hole, and then a built 60E which lasted a hair over 200 passes. I now have a TH350, yes mileage sucks big time, since I do live on an island its like city driving no matter where I go. A GVOD can help that, or in my case a slightly smaller stall too. The TH350 is lighter by a decent margin, 30+lbs. Access to swapping, pulling etc is greatly enhanced as well, since the case is physically smaller. GL
