Default Narrowed Rear end

I have seen where people have anywhere from 2-3" narrower per side. At what point do you start having an issue with interference with the LCA and where they mount on the axle. I know it also depends on the BS on your wheels. How much narrower can you you and still use the factory mounting location for the LCA on the frame of the car?

I know they all use the factory location even with big tires like 315 60 15's, but you use lower control arms with offset bushings, from what I have been told 3" narrowed per side 15x10 with 5" backspace and a 28x10.5 will fit non tubbed cars, I have seen the guys at wolfe racing do 315's and 29.5 10.5w, but those require the offset lower control arm bushings, mini tubs and the smaller 2 1/2 inch springs

5" total for mine. No fitment issues with a 5" backspacing wheel and 27x11.5x15 QTP hoosier tire. Actually I did have to remove the bump stops but thats it. The axle looked like it might be possible to shorten another 1/2" before it would be touching the LCA mounting bracket but I was told 5" is the most you can do without doing other modifications so thats what I did.

Default Tonyss

With the 6" narrow and 15x10 with 5" back spacing did you have to trim or bang in anything inside to fit that tire?

Default narrowed rear 6"

Just your normal wheel well hammering rolled the wheellwell lips , minor trimming of inside to get the proper clearance. off set the lower control arms.
