Default new 2lb weight savings mod



I was bored. stock ABS mount weighed 2.5lbs. my creation weighs a mere .5lbs. I'll make them for $50 each j/k. will obvioulsy only work with a billingsly !abs.

whooo, 2more lbs off the front end!! that and my !fog lights and I'm already to 5lbs lol.

Heres how I eliminated my holder. Of course I moved mine to give more room for the Big Block. But hey the weight loss is also another advantage I didn't think of.
I've just got to run my lines. I waiting to put the motor in first and check fitment before I spend the time running my brake hoses. Also I didn't have to make a bracket for my setup I just bolted the unit right to the frame.

Why not just take the ABS unit out thats even more weight like 15lbs along with the wiring thats not needed

that is already done. I made a new bracket for the billingsly !ABS block instead of the stock one.

i used brass T's for mine and just rebent the lines, saved me $$ and weight.

Good job...every bit helps.

The bracket is MUCH heavier on an LT1 car. Our kits enable you to completely delete the ABS bracket as well as the ABS modulator and come with pre-formed lines and line lock as well as a needed proportioning valve to correctly bias the brakes.
