Default Aerospace Front brakes, and modifying spindle???

The instructions were very brief on my areospace front drag kit, and I'm unsure of where to grind/cut on the stock spendle. I know it has "ears" and they say to cut those, but I also think I will need to cut the spot that the stock calipers bolted to..(the bolt hole). Any feedback, or links would be very helpfull. This is an LT1 car, so I don't have the 12" brakes like on a LS1, but the install should be fairly similar.

thanks for any input

The ear they are referring to is the location that the stock brake caliper bolts to. You can take the easy way out by cutting the ear off or simply notch the small portion where the Aerospace caliper contacts that ear. After that you should be able to bolt up the aerospace brakes. However, you will have weakend the factory brake caliper mount locations just the same.
