Default Aero question.

I'm going to stick a black billit grill on my car and I was thinking of cutting out the center of the nose behind it so I can get rid of the air damn under the car. However, I have read the theory that if you open up the front of the car to much it can pressurize the engine bay and slow the car down. Does anybody have any real world experiance with this in a car trapping less than 150mph. I'd should trap over a 140mph this season and would like to squeeze out every last mph that I can. Think I'm better off just leaving the nose and front air damn alone? Or will it not make a differance either way?
