It is not always horsepower which brings the tires up the air. It is good suspension such as HAl shocks front (with front drag springs) and back, lower control arms, torque arm, bigger rear sway bar, decent conveter, etc.

like kent said it has alot of factors to it. I do it with 428 RWHP N/A in a 3336 pound car on stock rear suspension but upgraded front with a 4000 stall converter 3.23 gear and 26" tire

yea suspension is really what will do it along with your weight especially in a M6

I have done it N/A.

I dynoed the bird N/A a couple weeks ago, here is the dyno sheet:
http://www.bbbracing.com/genie/DynoDay32506/Dyno.jpg
182.18 rwhp
186.61 rwtq

Granted my bird is all about weight reduction, weight relocation and suspension... but if you want an actual HP .... then see above for my dyno #'s

Like they said, it doesn't take just hp to lift em. Sure, with enough power you can do it, but weight reduction and weight relocation is the biggest factor to it. 4thgencamaro lifted his stock 16x8 front wheels with under 360rwhp on bald Nitto's.

With an M6
-12bolt and steep gears
-strong clutch
-sticky tires
-Torque Arm, relocation brackets, HAL QA1's

I bump 'em with 1.6's and stock springs/shocks but I just got QA1 springs/shocks so I'll see what I can do now

did it w/ 300rwhp... Get the suspension right and you'll get daylight.. But sometime's air is not always good.. It's good for picture's but not necessarily good for et's...

I do it with a bolt on LT1 might put down 300, dont know yet...but suspension/gearing/tires/prep all make the combo pull the wheels.

I was doing it with my 355 LT1 motor with only 361 RWHP at one point.

The suspension and 3500 stall were the bigger factors. Now, with the 385 LT4 Stroker motor putting down 432/468, traction is my biggest problem now. Anytime the car even comes close to hooking, there is daylight under the front tires.

I did it with 325 rwhp at 3450 lbs in my Nova. Suspension, convertor (or clutch dump & rpm selection) and gearing is the key, along with TRACTION!

Time in the air is lost on time on your ET! It provides a good show though.

I pulled one tire with about 360rwhp, TA, LCA brackets, LCAs and all else stock. Oh no front sway bar. 4.10s through an M6 at 3500lbs and MT DRs.

Dragaholics car made 407RWHP and he put his car on the bumper. Went a best 60' of 1.32.
