how to remove airbag?

how to removing air bag how do you remove the driver side air bag in a 01 trans am. and would i need a different stearing wheel. and what would be the other stuff i would need to do it. because wouldnt the airbag light be on how would i fix that problem

I'm not sure if a ta is the same as a camaro but mine just had 4 screws coming in from the back of the wheel. Once you take it out you have a big ugly hole in the middle of your wheel. I just bought a kit and put a new wheel on. It doesn't really weigh much though. 4lbs if i'm remembering right.
