Help W/launing My A4?
Hey guys I need help or tips my best is 2.0 60ft,13.4 1/4 mile and trap 104.87.It was my first time and I was doing burnout after burnout every pass I made and my street tires just spin at launch, now I was told not to do the burnout and drive around the water box because it just makes the street tires even more slick.I have a 2002 Z-28 A4 the only mods I have are a LID,TB BY-PASS and a Flowmaster CB and I'm on 16''street tires I think I should be doing closer to 13.0 with my setup any help will be greatly appreciated.

fwiw you seem to be right on track for your mods.the best 60' i could get with the stock verter was a 1.97 on a fully prepped track.the guys you usually see with lower 60's on a stock verter have some weight reduction.my car with similar mods went a best of 13.3 at 106 in 50 degree air on a 2.0 60'.hope this helps

My best times then were from foot braking the car to 1500 rpm's and feathering into full throttle. If you really want to decrease your 60' time then you need to get some drag radials. I love my 245 Nittos. They handle ok on the street and if you get them nice and hot they have given me low 1.7 60' times. On a stock converter I doubt you'll get much better then 1.9's but they should be consistent. Then add a 3000-4000 stall torque converter and 1.7 - 1.8 60' should become obtainable.
Good luck.

35 psi worked good for me so I would try that and remember that they are street tires. You just can't treat them like drag radials or slicks.
