Default Stock tire air pressure for the strip?

Hey guys I have 245/50/16 street tires what is good tire pressure for the track I have them set at 32psi can I go lower for better times? I heard I can go down to 28psi but it seems too low for streets.

I ran my GoodYear GSC's at 27 psi and got a 2.00 60 foot from them.

In the staging lanes, reduce the actual psi to 10-12 percent below the recommended cold pressure.

For example, my cold recommended psi is 30. So in the lanes I drop is to 26-27 actual.

The lower psi allows the sidewall a little more flex, which helps absorb the shock of launch and the shifts.

You need to be careful to not drop the psi to a point where the tread will begin to cup. You can find that point in a parking lot by dropping the psi and laying rubber. Check the rubber laid for density side to side. If it starts to get light in the center, the psi is too low. Add one psi and repeat.

The tire data incl recommended cold psi should be on a sticker on the driver's door jamb or thereabouts.

23 psi was always good for me.
always had 1.93-1.95 on the stock tires when the car was basically stock.
