ok so i want to start racing but im not really sure on how to make a good launch or even how high my rpm's need to be for me to launch ..please any insight you have would be great thanks

its an 01 som with full bolt on's and a cam true dual exhaust and nitto drag radials also has line lock that was installed by the previous owner and a shift like .. not that,that matters

Is it manual or auto?

You need to MELT the nittos to launch hard on them. Try various levels of RPM and tire pressure (start around 20) and see what your car likes.

If you spin do a longer burnout or try less pressure, if you bog do less burnout or more pressure in the tires.

ok, i was just seeing if you lived close to me. you definitely dont, i am about 3 hours north of you in Hammond. anyways, what size tire do you have? is that on a 17" rim? if so, you should pick up a cheap set a 15" rims for the back. a little more sidewall on the tire will also help out quite a bit.
