Default Need Advice I Am Stuck

I have a 2002 Formula Firebird m6. My Mods are TSP Torquerv2, TSP Ported ls6 Heads stg. 2, lid, pacesetters w/ tsp y-pipe, borla catback, ls6 intake which came stock. I have added 17" ws6 wheels and drag radials, Nitto Nt555 My car put down 416rwhp CAM ONLY in the winter, and this summer when I added the heads it put down 430RWHP, I am assuming due to the humidity. I went to the track on saturday, and made a few passes. 2 were duds, and I got one decent pass. A 12.62 @ 114.36 with a 2.15 60ft. Now, I am still on stock clutch. Will an aftermarket clutch make a difference? Am I being robbed of any hp or performance due to the stock clutch? Could I perform better at the track with the aftermarket? Will I feel a difference when racing on the street? Thanks.

David.

PS. We roll race alot down here...my car would beat cars trapping 115-116 when it was Cam Only. Now with the heads, it has felt even better, and beat some cars that should trap 118-119.

no it will not help much,in fact you may spin more. you can hook the power you have now,why would you want more a 12.6's in the 1/4mi is terrable for a 400hp car. your first problem is your 60 foot times suck, the nittos, they also suck, and 17'' tires has no side wall to help traction. if you want to run the best times you can,you need a 12 bolt,a good clutch and some slicks. you can get some old lt1 camaro rims from the bone yard and mount a good tire on it,this would make a big difference in your performance. when i made 380hp and was running 11.7's in the 1/4mi,you need to make the car hook, then you will have a beast on your hands. i run the m&h racemaster cheeter slicks www.intercotire.com when i had the 26x11.5x16 on some lt1 rims i was doing 1.59-1.65 60 foots. now with 15'' 25x11.5x15 same tires i cut 1.4 60 foots. make the car hook and you'll be in the mid(ish)11's. if all you do is roll race, then a new clutch with an aluminum fly wheel will help alot. goodluck to ya bro.
