i'm talking about totally clutchless, push-button (lenco) or push/pull (liberty) shifting. basically like an NHRA/IHRA Pro Stock car, but with like 1000 less horsepower... hah

even the NHRA pro stock boys run a clutch, its called a slipper clutch and they have to use it when they launch and start a burn out (as in push it in and let it out), now you could go with a liberty-t-56 from what i hear and gear that up with a slipper clutch and clutchless shift that way

i know what the NHRA guys run, BUT they don't have to use the clutch while shifting the car, they only use the clutch to launch the car. the liberty equalizer transmissions (nhra pro stock) are inline shifting, no gates etc. shifts are front to back 1-5 with about 2.125" of shifter travel from gear to gear. its basically impossible to miss a gear with that type of transmission

"Slipper" clutches are a pain in the *** to fine tune/adjust if you dont have any experience with them.. You have to constantly adjust them by taking weights off or puttin weights on which adjusts how much the clutch slips/grabs.. Of course it probably wouldnt take much adjusting in a car that doesnt make alot of power. and of course you will only use the clutch to start a burnout or launch and after that its "pull, pull, pull, pull" or you can do it the ***** way and push some gay buttons.. lol

I had a full lenco, adj clutch in my pro street car and went through a clutch a year between racing it and street driving. That was with a 632 efi motor.
With a lenco, with all the handles forward,it's in 1st,you can pull levers in any order and get the next gear up.I always pulled right to left.
A liberty has a inline V-gate style shifter, you just keep shifting forwards and backward to changes gears.

The lenco street/strip would be the best option...hella tuff but a real bear to put in an F-bod. Lenco's can be installed behind a converter if you didn't want the agrivation of a slipper clutch.

And yes The BRT is a kick but tranny. Some of the pro-street guys are cutting sub one second sixty foots with this tranny. I think I remember seeing TC rip off a O.98x sixty with a 3.98 in the 1/8th last year at Valdosta.

I would deffently have to go with Joe I guess us transmission guys think the same a 4 speed G Force G101 is like a Jerico but not a PITA top loader not to mention the Swap parts are avalible from a few different companys there would be no comparison between power loss to a lenco and Jerico "style" (Im not a fan of Jerico) since DT loss seems to be such a big worry on this site

I am interested in the g-force g101. Do you have to buy these transmissions directly from them. Or can I get a deal some where. I wonder how much fast it would be than a th400.
