does this sound right?
So I took my stock 2001 SS M6 to the track for the first time ever a while back. Bone stock down to the original tires with 20,000 miles on them. I am a motorcycle guy, and this is my first "car" I've ever owned let alone raced. I've always had trucks before. No prior experience racing a car at the track. Maybe 3 or 4 times on the street.
Anyways, I am at 5300 feet here. It was raining all around the city, just not at the track. I ran a 14.3 against a 2000 Z28 auto with a lid and cut out. He ran a 14.45
Did I really do that bad? I don't have the slip so I can't tell you guys all the details. Seems like everyone is posting up 13's stock.
I guess my question is if there is any way to estimate how much the altitude affects track times.
I know I really need the DA but like I said I don't have the slip anymore. I threw it out because I was so depressed with it.
