Default Gear and Tire Question

IM JUST THROWING NUMBERS AROUND JUST TRYING TO UNDERSTAND SOMETHING.

Example:You have a 28" tire with 4.56 gears and you run 1.3x's 60ft's 10.2x's@130 roughly your RPM through the traps is 7,400.

Now...You change to a 30" tire with 4.88 gears, what happens?

Do you 60ft better?

Will your ET drop?

Would you run the same?

The only real difference I think you would see is a slight loss in performance from the added weight.

it would depend on what kind of tire or are you having trouble hooking now
30" are you planning on going to radials?cause that will drop your rpms also

That's why I'm thinking the only real difference will be the added weight of the bigger tires.

you cant go by that exactly it will depend on conveter and if he is switching from slick to radial or what not a regular slick will grow where a radial will not
and id be willing to bet that radials WILL be quicker and faster

I think I have enough tire 28x10.5W, Im just trying to figure out if there is any benifit going to a 315/60/15 radial with a 4.88...besides saying you have a 315/60/15 on your car.

I like my car low.....
