I put a prothane engine mount on the drivers side to stop the banging

Mine was hitting also. I let the car run for a bit so the exhaust got hot then I used a pry bar and nudged it down a bit.

Pry bar + hammer does the trick.

Hmmm I will give the heating up and prying a try I guess for now. Does anybody know if solid motor mounts would lower the engine?

on my ss i put in a prothane mount and then elongated the holes on the collector flange about 1/8 with a dremel. i had my dad hold down on the collector under the car when i tightened it up, never had a problem after that. my drivers side header was about 1/4 from the floor before i did that.

the jet hots are my 2nd choice for that reason. thats why i went with the qtps this time, no issues at all and they were only $175 more with shipping included.
