Default Starting on roll cage, where to start?

What would be the easiest way to start the install of my 10pt cage? I am planning on painting it, so I was going to mock up the front part (main hoop, door bars, rocker bars) and tack it together, then cut it loose from the floor plates and main hoop and move it around to paint and make it more accessible to weld. Will this work or am I reaching for the impossible?

I was going to paint what I could outside the car, but skip the places that I would be welding to, but with the front half, it looks like that would not be very much.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

i painted mine after i welded it.... its not hard to do... i used sand paper and flat black rattle can.... use a piece of cardboard to hold behind where you spray and you can get every thing painted pretty easily....

id say tack your main hoop first after you get a general idea of where you want your other bars to hit.
