Default MT Drag Radials

will the 275 60 15s on 8" welds with 5.5 backspace fit under my 99 trans am without any problems? these are 28" tall

i have that same question my buddy and i just got drage lites and he put that size on his lt1 and his fender cut a groove in his brand new tireand yes they are 28 in tall do you need a spacer for the rear tires 15x8? he had to use 5/16 but his cars a little different

it will fit perfect. just watch out for any irregular bumps in the fender area. tapping the areas with a hammer easily fixes teh problem (if you have any areas like that). teh radials dont grow. i had the same setup before.

If you drive them on the street the fender can cut into the edge the of the tires over bumps.
I had this problem with my 27" mt's when I had hotchkis springs in the back. I swapped to a stock height spring and that took care of that problem.

i had 275/60/15's on my car before too and they drove fine. like gator's 99TA said, just watch out for any big bumps. it will eat up the fender alil. i now have 275/50/15's.
