Daily Drivers with a Cage, come on in!
hey guys,
I'm torn between the idea of putting a cage in my WS6, since its mint, 21k miles on it....i don't want to cut it up for a cage
or buying a cheap 4th gen and starting all over again and make it a drag car only
I'm not at the track that often but it does make more sense to put a cage in my car...I just don't want to cut up the dash and all that crap
plus then I'd need a 5 point if I get into the 10's, and I don't want to change the stock seats
ugh, help me out guys!

oh thats awesome news
i was afraid i'd have to go through the dash by the A pillars
what company do you recommend looking at? I could do it myself but its probably worth my time to just buy it lol. I think the swinging door bars would be great
i looked at wolfe's site, but the have cages, and roll bars, so i'm a little confused on which one i would need

not sure about it but moly may be stronger if you were looking to strenthen chassis but that all depends on the thickness. I am not sure about that one.

but if you are like me you don't have all the money at once and have to do stuff a little at a time so you can still race.

yulp one thing at a time
I mean right now I can't even go to the track "legally" w/o a cage, 11.99 rule
$810 for a bolt in, mild steel, swing outs on both doors and shipping. $1110 for CM
ouch

FWIW its 11.49 and down these days for a roll BAR, 9.99-8.50 for a roll CAGE but some tracks have their own rules.
I had a wolfe bolt in chrome moly and ran all over the country and even the NHRA guys never said anything. I never even welded the down bars to the main hoop..
The bolt in Wolfe takes a couple hours to put in and comes powder coated, its a really nice fitting product. And its just drilling holes so its not that painful.
And swingouts are legal even on cages down to 8.50 as long as hey are properly done, NHRA anyhow.
