Default Going to the track tomorrow with the vette, any tips?

I'm used to launching FWD Auto's, but now have a stock 2001 C5 with the 3.15 gears. Any tips on launching? Do you just deadleg it and keep it planted , or stall it up to 1500 and feather it off the line, etc? Tire pressures (have the 17/18 y2k combo)? Any predictions?

Thanks,
Tim

Bone stock down to the filter, ran a PB of 13.445@104.76, 2.220 60' on my first try (stalled it up to 1k). Next run hotlapped was 13.478@103.71 w/ 2.15 60' (lowered rears to 25psi, stalled to 1.5k). Not much different than launching the GTP, except more grip.

My vette seems to idle extremely low (500/600rpm), to the point of bogging if I creep around @ idle (but not dying). Anyone know why would it idle this low or if this is normal?

that is not bad for your first FWD outing!
that is normal idle on the cars with the stock program.

That's normal, eh? Must be something GM did to lower emissions. The car does not like creeping around @ idle. When I get my HP Tuners, that'll be the first thing I change..
