Impossible...right?
What does it take to run mid 12's on street tires? I got a stock Z28, A4 with the 2.73 gear. I realize it's really easy with DR's and a converter...but I don't plan on running sticky tires on the street. I rather not run nitrous either. I need to maintain emissions. I don't have enough money for forced induction. I'm screwed...ain't I?

I've got a buddy that runs 12.6 @ 109 in his A4, and he's only got a couple MINOR bolt ons. I don't know how he does it, but he does. He runs on BFG's, not the DR's though. I think GM accidentally put an LS6 in his car.

A different torque converter with a higer stall (2800rpms?, maybe more) will get you alot closer.
Do a search there is alot of information regarding converters.
