Lug nut shank length question.
I have some new rims. The lugs nuts i have now have a .500 shank but the rim with welded spacer is 1 1.8 inch.
Question is. Do i need to up the length of my shank to match my rim depth. Or close to it? Maybe a .750 to .975 shank?
I ordered some from summit and they match exactly with the front rims but the rear rims, the shanks stick out about 3/16.

Re: Lug nut shank length question.
I would get the longer shank. Are you using the washer with the shanks as well? This will also reduce the inserted depth of the shank into the wheel. I have the Bogarts with no spacers and my 1.3XX shank with washer is just shy of being flush with the back face of the wheel.

Rob,
Those lugs are too long. I would not recommend those sized lugs. Closed lugs can be purchased from summit which work well. I'm not aware of any open lugs offhand that fit off the shelf correct with LS1 spec'd rims. The open lugs are cut in-house to fit correctly for them.
Chris,
You have mail!
