Default 115.5 mph + 3582 race weight =12.70 (I need driving lessons)

Ok so I went to the track for the 1st time today. Made alot of new friends and had some good laughs.

Mostly at my expense.

After my burnout, I went way too far down the track. Through stage and deep stage lights, backed up, reset the lights and waited.

Pulled a 1.4 reaction time knowing full well to go on the last yellow. Left at idle and got a 2.1 60' on Nitto DRs aired up to 35lbs of pressure.

At least I didn't hit a wall.

Then it started to rain. So ends my 1st day of drag racing the camaro.

To my new buddies that were kind enough out the n00bie

To the announcer that is quoted saying "The only thing that car needs is a new driver" after my run

Hopefully next time I won't make a fool outta myself and my car..lol! But GDamn I had fun trying!!

To next time

Jack

thats how i was this year was first time out to the track with my mods.

went 13.0 at 115 with a 2.4 60
with the same car next time to track went 12.1 at 116 1.9 sixty

I think we both have 11 second cars but suck at driving them

Start with 20lbs of pressure in the tires the next time out and work your way down. That should help wliminate your traction problem you should let them down if you are still experiencing traction issues, which you probaly will making that kind of power. Thefirst 60' has alot to do with the rest of the run. You may want to go lower on the pressure but start there and don't go below 12psi or so. Of course you need to heat them up good, and also if they aren't broken in there is still some extra traction to be had.
Good Luck

try did you have 35PSI in your rear tires? You have to run 18-20 for nittos to hook. If you are gonna run 35PSI you might as well just have plain radials on the car.

You have to do a good burnout to get the nittos hot also... 5-8seconds worth and roast them up to the line to KEEP them hot!

you can have all the power in the world, but if your 60 sucks so will the ET Good luck and pratice pratice
