Default Thunder racing Mid mount ?

I am about to buy a mid mount for my car. I have a question do i need some sort of spacer on the flywheel to compansate for the thickness of the mid mount plate?

I think it is only 1/8" thick so you'd just put an 1/8th" washer between the converter and flex plate.

I looked it up and it says it is .100 thick, so that should work.

Look at thunderracing.com at he midplate it lists the thickness at .100, so just going by what they say, you can always give them a call to check what they recommend.

Or ask madman himself since he's always willing to help.

I have one and it is only .100 thick. Should not need to space anything at all

Don't listen to that guy he drinks a lot of beer and smokes crack and has been hit one too many times in a bar fight

Yes, it is only .100 but remember some converters don't engage as much as others and running a .100 washer between the flex plate and converter (as long as the bolts are long enough) will help keep the converter fully engaged.

I'd personally ask the person who makes the midplate or ask the converter company. That way you won't have an issue with a warranty if you have one.
