What r the rules on where to mount a parachute
I have seen the kits where you install the cross bar in place of the rear honeycomb and it comes out the liscense plate area but can I install a tube straight thru the honeycomb area, thru the sheetmeatal of the car and then weld it to rear cross member of my new frame rails, i am backhalfing and 4 linking my car and the rear cross member is 2" x 4" and the frame rails are
2"x3"
2"x3"

The rule is not to high & not too low. You need it angled properly to catch air. You do not want it falling into your wheelie bars, even once. You really need to be careful. Experience is very important on placement. My slow car '70 1/2 Camaro comes out the licence plate, which is supposed to be perfect on a 2nd gen. Fast car is mounted in the middle of bumper. Also the mounts are not straight across. More like a flatten V shape to make it stronger. I'm sure someone else with you car will chime in. My 2 cents, good luck.

I think the biggest thing is where the pull cord is mounted to. I believe its around the center line of the cam??? but dont hold me to that.(thats what i always remember hearing) I know u dont need it attached to the rear axle, it makes a mess when u open it.
