why does my T/A weigh so much?

why does my T/A weigh so much? i know i didnt get a lightweight optioned car but i hear of guys running around in thier 3300lb near stock f-bods. im sure if i dropped the 400lb diff between me and them i would hit 12's easily but what do they do that makes so much of a difference? also i did check out the colonels wight loss list but didnt see much that i'd be willing to do to my daily driver.
so do any of you lightweights have any tips for my piggy-bird to loose a few lb's? i already too out the spare tire/jack and still weight 3700 with half a tank of gas and me (160) in it

mine stock was around 3600 fully loaded..
with the spare/jack, rear quarter panels, and all the seats out(1/2tank) the car weighs 3450. Im 150 pounds also
