Converter swap.. Whats it good for?
I know this is a very generic question as it would depend on your set up, but I'm going from a 3,200 to a 4,400. The best I was doing dead hooking at the track was a 1.87 average 1.89. If you look at my dyno, It needs more verter period. I shift at 7,400.

If you had to guess, what do you think the new 60's would be?
Any of you have first hand with converter swaps and what they did for your ET?

That's a huge jump and will make all of the difference in the world, provided you have sticky tires and a well prepped track. Years ago, I went from a 3200 converter and it would cut 1.80 60-fts all day on Nitto DR's. Switched to a TCI 3800 and MT DR's and would cut 1.57-1.63 60-ft's depending on the track.

How do you know where your peak TQ is with out a dyno
I was using the dyno to show the TQ band of the motor. The lul is TQ from 3,200 to 4,200 is another thing I was trying to show. I think with the 3,200 It's hiting the tires, then almost loosing acceleration power from the dip.
I would have went to a 4,800 but I am planing on spraying a 100 shot out of the hole and a 200 shortly after.
