Default Race fuel question

Would I benefit by using race fuel instead of 93 octane? My comp. is 11.5 and I have an ms4 cam. They sell turbo blue near the track, and I'm running true duals with no cats. Would I need to re-tune? Thanks.

What octane are you looking to step up to? Race gas does not make you go faster, BUT it does allow you to run more timing which in turn lets you run faster. Yes you will need to re-tune the car. Race gas will help prevent detonation.

Problems: if you run leaded gas you'll need to keep an eye on the O2's, or buy Denso O2's.

IMO try some 104 (unleaded gas), get a retune, and try it. If you think 93 is high, 104 is out of the question.

By the way - damn nice times in your signature.
