Default ?'s about my Qa1 Front adjustable shocks

ok i got Qa1 Shocker R adjustable front shocks on my car with 300 lb springs. when i put these springs and shocks on it lowered my car about 1 3/4 inches. i didnt like that at all. so i adjusted it almost back to stock ride heigth. by doing this did i change the rate of the spring by compressing it? what do i need to do? and can i adjust the "clicks" on the ground with the shock under a load? this is a street/ mostly strip car

you didnt change the rate of the spring, it doesnt compress when you raise a car. set it where you like it. also when you change the ride height you will need an alignment.

adjust away on the shocks.

You can adjust the shock with the car on the ground, I would get the torrington bearings it makes adjusting the spring way easier. Set the ride hight where you want it ,like stated before, then adjust the shock valving. Try to keep the left and right side the same hight, so if the left side has 3.5" of thread, the right should have 3.5" of thread, adjust each side equally.
