Default First time at the track in 6yrs - a few launch and suspension Qs

I have not been to the track in 6yrs, but am heading to the local 1/4 mile track on Saturday. I have a 2000 Z with the following:

- stock bottom end
- H/C and ported 90/90
- 475rwhp/425rwtq
- 9" rear with 4.30s and 35 spline locker
- Street Twin with steel flywheel
- Adj TA, LCAs, PHR and SFCs
- QA1s on the rear
- 17x11 and 17x9.5 ZR1s
- Full weight car, just removed the jack/spare and a couple other minor things
- stock height, but I removed the donuts from the tops of the rear springs
- I will be starting out on 315 Shitto DRs, but will have some 16" ET Streets if needed

I have some basic questions:

1) what should I set my shocks at to start? 3?
2) pinion angle is at -2deg (pointing towards the ground), right?
3) what RPM would you launch at?
4) what ET/mph should I expect in 1/8 and 1/4? What 60ft should I be looking for?

I appreciate all the guidance.

I would set the rear shocks at 5, 6 on the right rear if you dont have a good anti roll bar.

-2 is good for pinion angle.

I'd try to launch at 4k and see if it holds, if it does up the rpm 500 rpm at a time till you get the highest rpm you can leave at.

Guessing ET is pointless, there are a lot of variables, car hooks doesn't hook, it's hot or cold, good track prep or bad track prep, on and on, run it and see what it does, I would hope you could get at least a 1.6 60ft with what you have.

I would think it should go in the 11's pretty easy if you hook.

I wouldn't even try the nittos, I would slap on the et street from the start.

What hole/angle is the torque arm in? You have relocation brackets?

Thanks for the input. I was pretty sure I had it right, but I wanted to check my memory.

Don't waste time on nittos at that power level.
You'll just be spinnin' your wheels...

....and wasting tread on your street wheels
