New times with stock 2002 SS M6 Convertible
These are only 1/8th mile times since there isn't a 1/4 mile track near here. My best 60 ft 2.215 sec. Best E.T. - 9.334@77.84mph Not what I wanted, but ok for stock. The car seemed to bog in first gear off the line and then it would just scream after it picked up. I pulled an 8.88 ET in my IROC at the same track. I was hoping the new SS would be pretty close. Of course my driving isn't quite up to par but overall I think I did pretty well. If anyone knows about the bog at takeoff let me know.

practice all of these cars can go in the 8.4-8.8 range in the 1/8th bone stock. Get your 60's down and work on the shifts a little more

What track did you run at? Was it Music City Raceway?
Either way, you're probably launching at way too low of an rpm. You at least need to be launching at 3500 or higher, and slipping that clutch a lil bit. As soon as you feel the weight transfer, release the clutch all the way, and go full throttle. Personally, back when I was running a stock clutch, I was slipping it from 5500 rpm's!

I was running at Jackson Dragway. Where is Music City Raceway? Is it 1/8th or 1/4 mile? I'll try working on the launches to see if I can get some better times. thanks for the advice guys
