Very upset with my recent track times with new mods.
Well to start it off I have a Vig3800 stall, 3.73 gears, new LCAs, Lid, Hooker Longtubes, and SLP Loudmouth riding on ET streets. My times are as follows.
R/T===60'====330====1/8====MPH====1000===1/4=====MPH
.543---1.737---5.236---8.170---83.48---10.714---12.858---105.34
.636---1.856---5.394---8.356---82.62---10.927---13.092---104.32
.569---DNR-----DNR-----8.271---82.75---10.841---13.008---104.32
.405---1.827---DNR-----8.337---82.28---10.922---13.100---103.81
1.072--1.858---5.431---8.396---82.75---10.966---13.133---104.27
Now in the past ive trapped speeds without the converter or gears in around 107 mph at around 13.2-13.3 so this series of passes seemed very slow to me. When I had the converter installed the shop who did it said that the trans is probably going because of how low they had to set my shift points to keep it from bouncing off the rev limiter and that the trans fluid was cooked even though it was flushed just 3 months ago. Could the trans be my downfall of my times? I wasnt that upset with my 60' times but rather my 1/4 times and trap speeds. I dont know what the DA was cause I dont know what that is or how to figure it out. Please any and all of you drag race veterans help me understand what is wrong.

Use AutoTap and a cheap Laptop to log KR (Knock Retard)during your runs.
Your already slowing down at the 330' and your 1/8 mile times should be quicker also, 1/8 mph are very slow should be more like 88-90 mph, so I'm guessing that your getting KR. It could be that your new exhaust is banging the underside of the car and the knock sensors are picking up the noise, this is a typical cause of knock retard.
Anyway, that's a logical place to start looking, Good Luck!

I thought that was your car. Your trans fluid was horrible if it was only 3 months old. I would think about getting that trans out of the car before it takes out your new converter. As for your times, your having the same problems I was. I could not 60' that well for what the car had and my mph was way down. The weather is playing a big part in your times, but it's possibly the trans. I got the trans rebuilt at the same shop you took your car. Next time at the track I went 12.40 and gained 2mph. In fact, your times are almost identical to mine before I had the trans built. Remember your converter, same as mine, is less efficient and eating up some mph. The long tubes should give back about the same amount as you lost though.
