The exhaust would be 1 7/8" American Racing headers with dual cats. He wanted a custom cam to match all this and emphasize power in the mid-range:

The cam is a 223/231 .610/.617 113LSA +4 advance using Comp LSL lobes and Patriot Extreme dual valve springs. As you can see, the combo worked amazingly well.
How much of an increase would there be of those cam specs if the motor was an 11:1 408, instead of a 364 ?

How much would the graph numbers change ?

alot hp, torque, rpm band, etc....more cubes can handle more cam and thus make more power as well. i am sure there some other dyno combos of 408s on here you check out and compare or hit up pat g for recommendation....

good luck with your project....

Pulling up an older post here but curious to here some input from some of you guys with LQ4 motor building experience. I know dyno #'s vary a bit but here's my setup and what I saw for RWHP and RWTQ

LQ4 .030 over
Stock dished pistons
L92 heads - Shaved around .030
Comp 228/232 .591/.609 cam (can't remember LSA, think it's 114)
FAST 90mm throttle body
LS3 intake and injectors
1 3/4" long tube headers w/ 3" exhaust (no cats)

On chassis dyno I saw 430 rwhp @ 6200 and 396 rwtq (gotta look back to see what rpm)

In my mind I don't think low is end power is overly great. But motor really picks up at 3000 rpm and up. Thoughts on cam size?

Curious to here thoughts and opinions on this combo, what could be better? I run the car on street and road course events.

Thanks!

Not knowing actual LSA and if any advance makes it harder to help you. If 114, that be fine. Advance of +2, or +4 preferably, be good. Cam duration is good for the approximate 10.2 compression ratio.

As for exhaust, 1 3/4 ok but 1 7/8 be optimal. 3 inch exhaust CHOKER. Need 3.5.

At least change, start with, upgrading to a flowmaster y pipe merge mod and a free flowing, straight flow 3.5 muffler.

Could these be run on a ls2 without being decked down ?
Maybe just by running a thinner gasket ?

Also my cam is a 231/234 .609 111+2 , is that not enough to split ?

Also have a 6.0 going 30 over, 821 head not sure if I am doing 5 angle Valve job after reading this , Msd atomic intake an nick Williams 102 mm drive by wire throttle body. I am really interested In this cam. How do you think it will work with my set up? Please keep in mind. I have accumulated so much stuff in the last year. Good morning. Ui know this is an old tread but i have nearly this exact combo but i got only 392rwhp on a dyno jet and my track mph back it up. At .050; 224 232 .629 .608 115+3 -2 degree overlap. Lq9 .015 milled l92 .040 head gasket for 11.2 comp. Btr springs l92 intake 1 7/8 headmans to 3.5 collector to 3" to the rear with x pipe 4l60e with 2800 patc converter with 3.23 gear 4" cold air wth maf. My tuner say that what it should make. This thread makes me say different or is this correct with the installed cam

Here is the sheet

Are your heads stock besides milling? I have a very similar cam to you. Mine is 224-230 .588/.571 115+3. The rest of the mods are in my sig and i make 494rwhp and 500rwtq. There seems to be something up there with your combo. I'm only .8 liters more displacement than you but am making 100hp more at the tires through a power sucking drive train as well.
