Default ls2 swap numbers...

car went down to the dyno today...

specs -

02 SS, boring.

stock ls2, azps03 cam, SLP lid and smooth bellows, pacesetter longtubes, ory, stock exhaust past that minus a LM2 muffler and a turn down. exhaust goes all the way out the car.

30# SVO injectors

fully built 4l60e, edge 3800 converter

stock rear end, stock fuel pump, literally stock everything else.

ended up with 414 rwhp and 386 lb/ft torque to the wheels in ~100* weather.

thoughts?

Is that STD or SAE? You should have a big correction factor with 100* temps. Im not sure the specs on that cam but I belive its pretty big, I would expect higher numbers considering your boltons and having stock 243 heads.

cam is 621/.615 242/248 on a 111 LSA, I might have the duration numbers backwards though.

I don't believe the numbers were corrected but I might be wrong. I wasn't shooting for a number really just wanted to get the car tuned.

That converter might be a little light for that cam if its going to be a track car, if street you should be ok. I would think 4000-4400 stall would be perfect for a cam of that size. If thoose numbers are STD then the SAE would likely be about 425RWHP. Best think to do is tack it to the track and see what ET/MPH you can get.

I think thats a big problem. Are you running the ls2 heads/intakemanifold as well? What TB?

I don't think the car will ever go to the track. It's my daily driver and I do a lot of driving in rush hour traffic. So far the converter is working out perfectly for my driving style and habits though I am adjusting a little to it.

The car will probably go 14.90 @ 116+ because I'm on a 275/40/18 radial and have zero intentions of putting a sticky tire out back.

I didn't really give a **** about how much power it makes or how fast it turns out to be, I haven't even gone WOT in it yet and I probably won't for months.

It was time for a new motor/trans and this came around at a steal.

it's a problem only as far as power is concerned.

LS6 intake, stock LS1 tb, I believe they are 243 heads.

i will end up with another exhaust set up, mostly because I don't like how loud the car is - if it was quieter / more civilized I would just leave it alone.

Like i said above I'm not super concerned with power numbers as I haven't raced the car in over a year, track or street.

I'm in the process of finishing up my ls2 swap going in my 01 SS (m6). Car has 150K miles and I figured like you i got a hell of a deal on this low mileage Ls2 and just went through with it. I wanted an aftermarket cam but after shelling out more $ than anticipated on a new (used) 05 t-56 there went my cam package money so in it goes stock. Can't wait to see how it performs and what #'s i pull out. I too have Long tubes (Kooks) ory, Magnaflow c/b, ans Ls6 intake.

Numbers look great considering it's a stalled auto and we know "super hero" dyno numbers don't come easy in AZ, especially with that heat. Nice job

Do yourself a favor and use the LS6 intake on the motor. Regardless of the TB being smaller than the LS2, the manifold itself is garbage in comparison.

Good luck

Thanks The car made more power in my car than the last car it was in. Haha.

Hoping to throw it back on the dyno in cooler weather to get some inflated N/A and n2o numbers. Although 414 in a cam only car isn't bad.
