Default AF ratio help

My friend has a turbo buick and he just installed the PLX wideband setup. With the engine on itstays between 16.9-17.2 no matter what. He sent the unit back to plx and they said everything on thier end checked out. He has a new 02 to install but I'm wondering if running this lean at idle was normal or if the unit is screwed.

Thanks for the help

Idle can get really lean, and other factors determine how the ratio looks at idle, such as ambient air quality (humidity). That looks a little lean but given the day, it might be fine, im no "tuner" though so let some others chime in.

Also is this a tuned car or stock?

It has a few of the basic buick mods. It does have a chip in it that will work in conjunction with the plx.
Thanks for the help.

what you should focus on is what its doing while driving and at wot. My wideband will read 13.50-14.0 when i first crank it for a few minutes, but after the sensor warms up, it will go all the way lean. Start cruising and its at 15.0-15.2, which is right at where it should be while just driving. Open it up and she drops to 12.2 (which is too rich but she is going back on the dyno in the next couple of weeks to fix the tune). Thats my experience with my wideband any how.

My PLX gauge reads about a 1 full point high (15.7) at idle compared to an LC1. At WOT the PLX is close to the LC1.
