Default Custom 3.5 exhaust question

My engine setup is in my sig below , but I currently have Kooks 1 7/8 stepped headers with 3.5 collectors with about 3 feet of 3.5 pipe coming straight off the collectors and dumped through 2 3.5 dynamax ultraflow mufflers, once I put my new rear and torque arm in , I'm having clearance issues between the DS muffler and TA now so I'm looking at new mufflers , thing is , I'm having problems finding anything narrow enough in a 3.5 size that'll work but there are tons in 3 inch . My main question is , will I be ok leaving the 3.5 pipe and just reducing it down to 3 inch mufflers, or will it hurt my power and torque ? Any suggestions ? Thanks fellas

I don't know exactly how much room as far as width you need to lose but, QTP does offer a 3.5" in/out oval muffler that's only 7" wide. With you possibly reducing your exhaust down to a 3" I'd recommend using some reducers with a long gradual tapper to prevent any turbulence in the flow. So as far as 3" in/out mufflers you're probably already looking at 3" mufflers with offset inlets like the Dynomax Ultra Flow #17221 and #17229, or Borla ProXS #40358 which also has a offset inlet, which is what I'd do.

My car is putting out roughly 540 at the wheels , but at the time of tuning , the clutch started slipping .... I did look at the qtp AR3 muffler , look decent
