1.8 rockers and bullet cats = hp So I've changed up the combo a bit over the last few years.
Last year I've added 3.90 gears and heavy 3" steel driveshaft but
I still continue to see gains with new parts
It's nothing crazy but every hp counts....TTP & crew rock!
This time I switched rockers from 1.7 to 1.8's (both YT's) and swapped my 4yo 3" brick cats to magnaflow 3" bullets.
I should add one cat was pretty beat up & the other was completely blown out.
The blue: old cats & 1.7 rockers = 448hp/455tq (cam lift was .593/.602)
The red: 3" bullets & 1.8 rockers = 461hp/461tq (cam lift is now .628/.637)

Good gains! I'm looking into getting some 1.8 rockers in the near future, and it looks like they'll be worth it...assuming that your gains aren't all or mostly from the cats.

(my heads flow 330cfm @.600, 325cfm @ .650 and have a ported FAST)
For me it was cheaper than getting a new cam.
I'll never really know about the cats, in all honesty I may have lost some power w/ new cats
since one old cat was a 3" open pipe like an ORY and the other was still in tact.
