Default Shifter Karts around Philly?

A friend that works for me has a couple of shifter karts and is looking for a place to run them around Philly. Does anyone know of a local track where he can do this? I know nothing about them but I told him I would ask! If you will post the name of the track and the City/State please. Thanks!

Check with NJMP over in Millville, NJ: http://www.njmp.com/racing/karting/a...ew-jersey.html

Not sure if it's rental only or what, but I don't see why you can't bring a cart if they allow you to bring cars and bikes on the race tracks.

http://www.njsprintseries.com/

njmp has club races every 2 weeks or so

has he raced karts before? if not i dont know if theyll let him run, he would be a danger to himself and other racers, he should get a more entry level kart

He owns 2 karts down in Texas and used to drive Formula Atlantic (I think?) and he also owns a couple of March cars so I think he can drive. He is looking at having 1 or both of his karts shipped up here.

Another option might be to look into SCCA autocross. I think the Philly region has a class for karts.

It's not open tracking, but its still competition and he could use it to get shake some rust off?

I'm thinking I might try the SCCA event coming up next month in my Camaro. It could be fun!
