Need info ASAP!!! Weight of LQ9 for shipping quote
I tried the search as well as Google and nothing. I am sure it is there, but I need this ASAP!
I need the weight of a long block LQ9. No acc., manifold, or oil pan.
EDIT: OK I did find, on google, that the weight of a bare LS1 longblock is 388lbs and everyone says that the LQ9 is 100lbs heavier.
So can anyone confirm that the LQ9 long block weighs 488 bare?
Thanks guys!

Do you guys think it would be cheaper to send the heads through someone like UPS / FedEx and ship the short block through a freight company?
How much does it cost to ship heads using UPS / FedEx? These are Alum LQ9 heads.
Thanks guys!

Thats weird I have shipped all kinds of engines thru aaa cooper with all of the fluids drained. Ship the heads on the motor. The price usually goes up every 100 lbs. Just tell them its class 70 freight one pallet and a estimate weight. Strap it to a pallet with a big plastic bag over it and wrap it with pallet shrink wrap. Also are you shipping it from your home or business?
