machine shops
any recommendations on who deals with ls1 engines?
a little info on what i'm planning to do...
i'm building up a 5.7 for my chevelle with a 5.3 cast iron block.
i'll be using the stock crank from the 5.3 and a set of stock rods and pistons from a 5.7. i'll be using arp rod bolts and arp studs on the mains and the heads.
i just need a machine shop that can clean the block, bore/hone, install cam bearings, balance the assembly, and assemble the shortblock.
thanks for yalls help,
lance

Chevelle with an LS-engine? Oh, do tell...
I'm not sure of shops around the jax area. Rollins uses a place in Bronson called Southard and they do a lot of engine work (my last 2 blocks done by them).
