APS boost control issuse
so check this out when im running the 7.5psi springs in the WG the car will boost creep up to 12psi at 6000rpm no big deal right i have been running for some time now
so last night i put in some 5psi springs and went for a drive. the car would hit 6psi and anything after 4500rpm the boost would creep back up to 10-12 psi WTF. im just running the WG off the compresser housings just like the kit says to do. im thinking i might have a sticky WG on one side.
so what do you guys think need some ideas here to fix this thing
thanks

Make sure the lines are tight on both the compressor housings and the gates. vacuum leak could make them do that. Not sure if a boost leak might also do this. That would be harder to find.
Guess could be a malfunctioning gate .Why would you put in 5 psi just to test? Only advantage to 5 would be if you are ramping in boost with gear or something and then could do say 5, 8, 10 type of thing. Usually you can't go much past double the gate spring so 7.5 would be 15 , 5 would be 10. I was actually thinking might have to go to say 10springs to get to 20psi max later on.
I still don't have my car running yet Tom or could see if mine holds boost steady. Hopefully another two or three weeks.
I didn't notice it going high when was driving it but was not staying in wot since didn't have the fuel support then. Will have it now.
Tials are usually great gates..lets just hope they aren't knock offs!
What are you running for boost gauge..sure its accurate ..? Sure its set right if it has settings. I have eboost 2 to install shortly as well. Just running a cheap ghetto boost guage for temporary last fall.
