P1SC Procharger and a 408
So I have about $1900 left for my build and I can get a P1SC head unit only for about $800. Kinda wondering how it would do as a starter Supercharger for my 408. I have pistons that I can use for boost and I have pistons that I could use for all motor. Should I jump on it, build it for a supercharger or should I just all motor that baby? Also, How is a P1SC going to run on a 408? Is it going to choke it out?

i say build it for boost get the 14 pound pulley and upgrade to a d1 or better later
procharger will take your p1sc and turn it into a d1sc(new label and internals) for around $1400
i dont see why you shouldnt be able to gain an extra 150 or more hp before it runs out of air
someone a little more experienced will chime in soon im sure

Take a look at this T/A, which has a 408 with a D-1SC. We got 16 psi out of it, with the P-1SC I'd say you would see 12 psi or so. 600 rwhp would indeed be possible. Bob

my stock bottom LS2 at only 364c.i. makes 786rwhp, (with no "tricks", through the filter just like daily driven, pump gas and methanol injection, boost only no n20) and would easily break 800 if I'd just decide on what injectors I want to go with (60lb mototrons are maxed)... You should have ZERO problem with 800+ with adequate fuel...
