Default Air pump on a procharged car

Do I need my air pump on a procharged car? I was just installing the new mounting bracket and I figured if I don't need it why put it back on the car. If I ditch it will I have any effects? Codes?

You will get the ses light but you can have it tuned out when your finished with the install. Do you still have cats and the egr?

No I yanked those already. I really wanted to take out the air pump when I put the headers on but didn't know enough about the system at the time. Still a little iffy on it. I see the exhaust hoses go to this little box by the back of the intake manifold. I guess that whole thing needs to go to? Just cap off the headers.

Get rid of it and all the hoses with it. If you not worried about emissions its excess weight on the drag strip. Do a search in the external engine section on the air pump you'll find a few write up's with pic's.
