Default I need some Advice please.

I have my WS6 payed off now and I really want to spend some money on it.

My original plan was to build a all out 408 540rqhp/500rwtq was my peak goal. My family owns a engine shop in OKC so parts are cheaper than like Texas-Speed but still Expensive.. Like you all know looking 8-9,000$ for the motor..

So I have really recently been looking at just boosting my stock motor. Since I miss having a boosted car anyways (98GTP before). Because I could pull the motor put a good set of rods and pistons in it and I would be good to go for a little while, and the fuel system of course (00 ws6 so maybe a ls6 intake?).

I have 5-6,000 at the moment I want to spend what would you guys do?

Save up some more money and get something else

OR I saw this, https://ls1tech.com/forums/lsx-parts...-upgrades.html

Is that my best bet? I need advice.

Tell me what you think please!

-Shane

IMO:
go buy an LS2 motor with 317 heads. Send the heads out to be ported, get a proven cam, 1 7/8 headers, Fast 92 intake, and TB. Have that tuned and be ready to finish the tranny (or clutch) and a rearend.

Or put a stroker kit in the LS2 and bring up the displacement? Put a 100 shot of N2O on it if you need more kick?

Thats one persons opinion anyone else?

I am trying to stay away from N2O honestly but I could always do that. And we will just port and polish the heads right there in our shop.

That is a good price on a D1SC 8-rib setup and the kit looks to be in great shape. IMO I would go for it.

an 8-10lb procharger is usually good for about 500whp correct? I say do that first, then if you want more, build the engine during the winter time later on and go big boost...just one man's opinion.....cause that's what i want to do, lol.
