LS1 92 Z28 swap... which turbo?tc78? BW s475?Ideas? I've been doing a lil research into which turbo i'm gonna use.. First off its a stock ls1 with tqv2 cam. I'm running an auto trans with 3.73 gears (will be changing gears). I would like to make over 600 rwhp with 317 heads. I do have plans in the future to forge the bottom eng to run more boost.try to get into the 800whp range. What turbo would do the trick? I've seen a lot of people running the s400 and making good numbers its just so big.. Tc78 looks to be small compared to the s400. I don't want to spend 2k on a turbo so the cheaper the better. Thanks

So you think the best bet is a TC?? That s475 is a lot of turbo. lil own making it fit. I'm gonna try to keep a/c. tc78 plenty big? you know if I forge it and put more boost to it?

We have made over 800 to the tires with the little TC on a locked 65e. If it is a th400 then you will not get there though. The nice thing about setting it up for a 475 is that you can upgrade latter on very easily. FI takes them up to 91mm and I think there has been people that make over 1000 to the tires with that configuration.
